Dr. Guan is Director of the Centre for Brain-Computing Research in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has >18000 citations and an H-index of 63. He is an expert on brain-computer interface technology using non-invasive methods, and has successfully commercialized neurotechnologies produced in his research.

Surjo Soekadar

Einstein Professor of Clinical Neurotechnology, University Medical Center Berlin “Charité”, Germany

Prof. Dr. Surjo Soekadar investigates how neurotechnologies can be used in the treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Neurotechnologies are technological and computer-assisted tools that analyze brain signals and are capable of modifying them in a targeted manner. These include advanced neuroimaging methods, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) or magneto- and electroencephalography (M/EEG), non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS), such as transcranial electric and magnetic stimulation (tES/TMS), and neuromodulation based on brainstate-dependent sensory feedback. In its core, his laboratory develops and applies novel brain-computer and machine interfaces (BCI/BMI) translating brain activity into control commands of external devices, and their combination with non-invasive brain stimulation.

Nick Ramsey

Neurology & Neurosurgery, University Medical Center in Utrecht

Dr. Ramsey is Professor in Neurology & Neurosurgery at University Medical Center in Utrecht in The Netherlands. He described the first fully implanted brain-computer interface for home use world-wide, which was implanted in a fully paralyzed patient in 2015. His current research aims to develop and implement the next generation BCI implants to enable people with communication disorders to speak again. He is former president of the International BCI Society and has authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications.
