1. 专题召集人须事先确定参与申请的会议,CNS 2023或The CJK-2nd 专题申请不能重复;每个专题整体时长为2-3小时,每位报告人的报告时间为25分钟 +5分钟(问答);
2. 每个专题报告人数为4-6人(6人为佳),如专题报告人数少于4人,该专题将被合并或取消;
3. 每个专题主持人数为1-2人。召集人(默认为主持人)也可以是报告人。召集人/主持人和报告人具有唯一性,不能在其他专题中主持或报告;
4. 每个专题来自同一单位的报告人不得超过2人;
1. 为保证学术报告的前沿性,报告人的报告内容须有1/3以上内容未发表;
2. 专题报告内容避免与上一年度重复,专题报告题目应聚焦,不泛化;
3. 您召集过CNS 2022年会,则须更新至少一半的报告人;CNS 2022专题研讨会报告人信息请参考:https://www.cns.org.cn/2022/cn-program07.php;
4. 同等学术质量下,学会专业分会提交的专题研讨会优先考虑,提交数量不限;
5. 各专题要积极邀请女性科学家参与,含至少一名女性科学家的专题在遴选时优先;
6. 疫情防控常态化管理下,如果会议以线上+线下结合形式举办,报告人必须现场作报告,不接受提前录制视频播放;
7. 最终提交中国神经科学学会学术工作委员会评议审定。
The CJK-2nd专题研讨会的具体要求:
1. 每个专题须有报告人来自中、日、韩(CJK)中的至少两个国家(CJK三国都有为佳),且来自CJK某一国家的报告人数不得超过该专题总报告人数的一半,来自同一单位的报告人不得超过2人;
2. 鼓励来自CJK之外的报告人加入。报告人差异性(不同国籍,不同单位和不同职业阶段)和包容性是专题评审重要的考量因素;
3. 专题召集人须为CJK会员,即中国神经科学学会(CNS)、日本神经科学学会(JNS)和韩国脑与神经科学学会(KSBNS)的会员;
4. 每个专题至少有一位女性科学家,鼓励女性科学家参与的专题优先;
5. 疫情防控常态化管理下,如果会议以线上+线下结合形式举办,考虑境外人员入境隔离天数较多且入境手续繁杂等因素,境外报告人可以线上作报告,但不接受提前录制视频播放;
6. 最终提交CJK-2nd 国际学术委员会评议审定。

Call for Symposia
The 16th Annual Meeting of Chinese Neuroscience Society
&
The 2nd China-Japan-Korea International Meeting
The 16th Annual Meeting of Chinese Neuroscience Society (CNS 2023) will be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China from July 27-30, 2023. CNS 2023 will be held jointly with the 2nd CJK International Meeting (hereinafter referred to as "The CJK-2nd"). The Scientific Program Committee of CNS 2023 and the International Scientific Program Committee of The CJK-2nd together open a call for submission of symposia proposals from neuroscience workers across the world. English will be the official language of The CJK-2nd. Following rules of symposia submission should be followed:
I. Rules applicable for both CNS 2023 and The CJK-2nd
1. The organizer of each symposium must select one meeting from CNS 2023 or The CJK-2nd for submission. A proposal can’t be submitted in two meetings at the same time. The allocated presentation time for each symposium will be 2-3 hours. The presentation time for each speaker is 25 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A.
2. A symposium proposal must include 4-6 speakers (6 speakers are preferred). If there are less than 4 speakers proposed in a symposium, it might be combined with others or cancelled.
3. A symposium proposal can include 1-2 chairs. The symposia organizers (always be regarded as chairs) can be speakers. The organizer/chair and speakers of a symposium proposal are unique and can’t organize, chair or present in another symposium.
4. No more than 2 speakers in a symposium proposal are from the same affiliation.
5. Selected participants (organizers/chairs and speakers) will be exempted from registration fees but must bear the cost of travelling expenses and accommodation. Selected participants are not advised to register the meeting before the formal announcement of selected symposia to avoid duplicated payment of registration fees.
NOTE: To expand the academic influence of CNS 2023 and The CJK-2nd, organizing committees would like to invite 1-2 Symposium Reporters for each symposium to write articles related to speakers’ presentations (Ph.D students of speakers will be better for the role and will be exempt of registration fees). Articles will be published via CNS’s official WeChat Account after editing and approval by symposia speakers during or after the meeting.
Supplementary Rules of Symposia Proposals Submission for CNS 2023
1. In order to ensure the cutting-edge nature of the academic presentations, speakers' presentations must contain at least 1/3 unpublished data.
2. To avoid repeated use of the data of the previous year (CNS 2022). The topic of a proposed symposium must focus on a particular area instead of a generalized subject.
3. For organizers of CNS 2022 symposia, you must replace at least half of speakers by inviting new ones; Symposia participants of CNS 2023(Organizers/Chairs and Speakers) must acquire senior ranks of professional title (Professors/Researchers).For information on CNS 2022 Symposia, please refer to: https://www.cns.org.cn/2022/cn-program07.php
4. Under the similar academic ground, priorities will be given to symposia proposals submitted by professional branches of CNS, and no limit will be imposed on how many symposia proposals submitted by them.
5. Symposia organizers are encouraged to actively invite female participants. Preference will be given to symposia proposals with at least one female participant.
6. Under the requirement of regular epidemic prevention and control, CNS 2023 & The CJK-2nd might been held in a hybrid format. In such case, symposia participants (organizers/chairs and speakers) must attend meetings in-person and give their presentations on site. The recorded video playback is not accepted.
7. All symposia proposals will be submitted to the Scientific Program Committee of Chinese Neuroscience Society for review.
Supplementary Rules of Symposia Proposals Submission for The CJK-2nd:
1. Each symposium proposal must include speakers from at least two countries of China, Japan and Korea (CJK) (from all three CJK countries are preferred). The number of speakers from any of CJK country must not exceed half of the total number of speakers in one symposium proposal, and no more than 2 speakers in a symposium proposal are from the same affiliation.
2. Speakers from outside CJK countries are preferred. Diversity(nationalities, institutions and career-stages, etc)and inclusion should be respected throughout the program to the extent possible.
3. The symposium organizer will be a CJK member, which is the member of CNS, JNS and KSBNS.
4. A symposium proposal must include at least 1 female neuroscientist. Preference will always be given to symposia proposals with female participants.
5. Under the requirement of regular epidemic prevention and control, CNS 2023 & The CJK-2nd might been held in a hybrid format. Considering that overseas participants (organizers/chairs and speakers) must go through complicated entry formalities and be kept in a quarantine for many days, therefore overseas participants can attend meetings online and present remotely. However, the recorded video playback is not accepted.
6. All symposia proposals will be submitted to the International Scientific Program Committee of The CJK-2nd for review.
Background: The CJK International Meeting is an international meeting co-organized by Chinese Neuroscience Society (CNS), Japanese Neuroscience Society (JNS) and the Korean Society for Brain and Neuroscience (KSBNS), aiming to provide a high-quality international academic exchange platform for neuroscientists in the Asia-Pacific region.
